“Our own life has to be our message.” – Thich Nhat Hanh
Why does a fish drink water?
It’s a basic need.
The need to further the self.
The need to fulfill the deeper callings of creative expression.
That’s how I feel about the work I do – or want to do – every single day.
Doing Meaningful Work: The Deep Desire That Won’t Go Away
I want to wake up and feel.
To feel it in the depths of my soul that every action I’m taking is a step toward spreading a message that matters to me.
I want to know — really know — that the clacks on my keyboard are reaching something deeper than just filling someone’s pocket.
But How Do You Leave Security Behind?
And while we’re on the topic…
HOW does a single mom of two decide to quit the safety and security of a full-time, work-from-home job — benefits, paycheck, structure and all — and believe she can build something on her own?
Well, she doesn’t exactly believe she can.
But she’s going to try.
Taking a Soul-Led Leap of Faith: How To Trust Your Inner Voice
With every fiber in her being.
With every emotion in her body (which she’ll use to manifest the hell out of this vision).
With every sleepless night she needs to endure to build a life that feels aligned — a life that’s honest and real and true to who she is and what she wants to feel. A life that is intentional.
That’s it.
No, really — that is it.
The Illusion of Security: What You’re Really Trading for A Paycheck
Working in corporate America does have its perks, but we’ve been trained to believe they’re not just perks — that they’re necessities.
And don’t get me wrong, money is necessary. But the way we’ve been conditioned to believe we have to earn that money?
It’s based on illusions.
Lies.
Limitations that we’ve accepted as truths, without questions.
The Hidden Cost of Staying Comfortable: Why Playing It Safe Can Hurt Your Growth
And yes, it’s easier sometimes to follow the rules, check the boxes, meet the expectations set by someone else. It can make life feel more manageable.
But that kind of ease?
It comes at a cost.
It costs us the connection to our inner compass.
To our own ability to think through what feels right.
To feel whether a decision truly aligns with our values.
To choose what kind of energy we want to live in, work in, and bring into our homes every single day.
The Turning Point
That’s the compromise I won’t make anymore.
So… how did I get here?
How did I — a single mom of two, with all the work from home perks and a good thing going — decide to make a plan to quit my 9-5 and build not just a purpose-driven business, but a whole different life?

A Life That Feels Like Me
A life that feels like me; a life of authenticity.
A life that forces me to grow from the inside out.
A life that stretches me into becoming someone I haven’t even met yet.
At any moment, you have a choice, that either leads you closer to your spirit or further away from it.
Thich Nhat Hanh
I Just Stopped Long Enough to Feel
Well, I just stopped.
I paused long enough to actually feel what my life felt like.
And I didn’t like what I felt.
There was a quiet disharmony — in my actions, in my thoughts, in my emotions, and in the energy of the people around me.
But the pause also showed me something beautiful:
What was working.
What did feel good.
Living In Alignment: Choosing What Truly Feels Good
And that good stuff? That felt so good — so clear, so warm, so right — that I decided I want more of that in my life.
More of those people.
More of that ease.
More of that deep inner harmony that comes from putting your energy into something that actually matters — to you, to others, and maybe even to the Universe itself.
The Power of Choosing Yourself
Is this a mistake?
To leave the comfort zone?
To break the mold?
To fly without knowing where I’ll land?
No. It. Is. Not.
No matter what happens, this journey will shape me.
It will show me what builds me up and what breaks me down — and maybe most importantly, it will remind me that just deciding is power.
Power to be whatever I choose to be.
